WHERE'S MY twitter? Asked my friend as he were in search of his Bahasa Melayu workbook. I should have answered "in the internet" but since he had just lost his book, I don't dare to agitate him with all the nonsense.
Local publisher Info Didik has been using Twitter as the name of their secondary school-based workbook series for years and this year we have "Twitter 2012". So every time when the teachers enter the class, we often hear instructions like this: "Class, take out your Twitter.", or maybe when their lesson is about to dismiss: "Class, we're using Twitter tomorrow. So please bring or not you'll kiss one mark goodbye for your coursework."
Nevertheless Twitter has been defined as a twittering sound of a bird by The Free Dictionary by Farlex. And I doubt the reason why they chose a name of a social network, probably just a name to attract more Twitter users to buy their book? That's why in the next few years students will be bringing Facebook to school! #
